Job summary

Istari Digital is seeking a Deployment Strategist to own end-to-end outcomes for flagship defense programs. You will embed with a small team of forward deployed engineers on one program or a set of engagements, deciding what matters and how to prove success, including demonstrations and tests.

You will be the government program office’s daily peer, with support from a operations team, accountable for commitments and outcomes rather than just the tracker.

Qualifications

• A track record of owning an outcome with no formal authority over the people delivering it.
• Insider fluency in the following customer domain and understanding of what’s broken in today’s world.

Responsibilities

• Own the outcome of a program end to end: define success, choose problems to solve, and set milestones.
• Embed with government and industry customers to understand mission, constraints, and politics.
• Serve as named Program Manager on major federal programs: manage reports, TE meetings, and reviews; own contracts.
• Set direction and priorities for a small Forward Deployed Engineering team; protect their time.
• Own the growth thesis: option years, follow-ons, expansions.
• Feed field learnings back into product and engineering to improve the platform for all customers.
• Work day-to-day at or travel to customer sites, typically domestic.
