Job summary

Endeavors seeks a Disaster Human Services Case Manager to provide survivor-centered case management during deployed field or remote operations in Washington, DC. The role conducts intake, assesses needs, and coordinates resources while protecting privacy and ensuring equitable access to services.

Deployments with housing allowances and per diems are included; requires readiness, training, and nationwide travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant experience in case management, human services, crisis intervention, benefits/resource navigation, disaster recovery, or community-based services is preferred.
• Professional spoken fluency in a language in addition to English is highly desirable.
• Must complete all organization and required screening, background investigation, credentialing, cybersecurity/privacy training, Rules of Behavior, and role-based disaster human services case management training before deployment.
• Must complete the National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses IS-100.C, IS-200.C, IS-700.B, and IS-800.D before deployment.
• Must maintain reliable availability while deployment ready and work variable schedules, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Nationwide travel and deployment to disaster impacted locations may be required.
• Driver’s License with a clear record.
• Daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and complete all employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct disaster survivor intake, screening, and needs assessments using approved tools and procedures.
• Work with survivors to develop individualized recovery plans, set achievable goals, identify barriers, and update plans as needed.
• Identify, verify, and coordinate available resources addressing unmet needs.
• Provide resource referrals and follow-up; assist survivors in navigating benefits and recovery resources.
• Protect PII and survivor records; comply with Privacy Act and cybersecurity requirements.
• Deploy within required timeframes and work in field, remote, or austere environments as assigned.
• Maintain deployment readiness and complete required training and credentialing.
• Participate in readiness activities, drills, and continuous-improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
