Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a dedicated trainer for Product Sales Specialists to ensure customers receive exceptional service and accurate product information.

You will guide staff through certifications, uphold safety procedures, and help manage the showroom floor. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in customer service/sales, and strong communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of customer service/sales experience or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Act in a manner consistent with company values
• Comply with safe lifting SOPs
• Teach and reinforce the basic P’s of retail (People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing)
• Provide direction to product sales specialists to ensure superior customer service
• Complete product specialist certification courses
• Understand merchandise and installation requirements
• Oversee merchandising, pricing and department organization
• Communicate SOP changes to associates in timely manner
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification
• Communicate inventory needs to management
• Assist with processing of merchandise to showroom floor
• Validate product placement and pricing
• Greet customers and assist with questions and selections
• Process checkout using POS system and handle refunds/exchanges
• Present how-to classes to customers
• Follow cash, check, and card procedures
• Answer phone per guidelines
• Stock and tag merchandise displays
• Create price tags and signs
