Job summary

IES seeks a Department Manager to supervise the department team and drive efficiency across staffing, materials, and finances. You will lead hiring, training, and performance processes while ensuring customer delivery goals are met.

Responsibilities include guiding staff, managing workload, overseeing bids, and maintaining quality and safety on projects. You will interact with customers and implement process improvements to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum seven years of supervisory/managerial experience.
• Five years in telecommunications or related technical/construction field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage and discharge department staff per company policies.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to meet department goals.
• Manage workload distribution of department staff.
• Plan for and monitor project profitability to meet company goals.
• Manage scopes of work including structured cable, AV, security, life safety, estimating or BIM.
• Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process.
• Ensure quality and safety on customer work; act as liaison with customers.
• Create and implement account process improvements.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
