Buffalo Wild Wings in Portland, OR is seeking a Department Manager to lead Kitchen, Bar, and Dining operations. You will drive guest experience, staff development, and profitability while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will coach teams, manage scheduling and training, and collaborate with other managers on hiring and strategy to deliver top-tier service in a high-energy setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior restaurant or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations and guest service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire Department Team Members, delivering top-tier service.
• Coach, train, develop, and manage staff within staffing guidelines and budgeted labor.
• Oversee daily operations of the chosen department (Heart of House, Bar, Hospitality).
• Manage food, beverage, and labor costs while meeting profitability targets.
• Maintain training, permits, and certifications; conduct performance appraisals.
• Implement incentive programs and promotions to engage staff and guests.
• Resolve guest complaints and oversee the Guest Comment program.
• Collaborate with other Department Managers and the General Manager on hiring and strategy.
• Administer invoicing, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Use data from P&L, GEM, QSCs, and audits to drive performance.

• Resolve guest complaints and oversee the Guest Comment program.
• Collaborate with other Department Managers and the General Manager on hiring, training plans, and operational strategy.
• Administer administrative duties such as invoicing, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Use data from P&L, GEM, QSCs, and audits to drive performance improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior restaurant or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, food safety, and responsible alcohol service.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff, training, scheduling, and performance.
• Excellent communication, team‑building, and problem‑solving skills.
