Job summary

Buffalo Wild Wings is seeking a Department Manager in Portland, OR to lead operations across Kitchen, Bar, and Dining areas. You will drive guest experience, staff development, and profitability while ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, managing schedules, controlling labor and food costs, and maintaining training and certifications. You will collaborate with other managers on hiring and strategy and ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior restaurant or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, food safety, and responsible alcohol service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire Department Team Members, delivering top‑tier service and guest experiences.
• Coach, train, develop, and manage staff within staffing guidelines and budgeted labor.
• Oversee daily operations of a chosen department (Heart of House, Bar, Hospitality), including scheduling, inventory, quality, safety, and compliance.
• Manage and optimize food, beverage, and labor costs while meeting company profitability targets.
• Maintain training, permits, and certifications; conduct performance appraisals and merit increase processes.
• Collaborate with other Department Managers and the General Manager on hiring, training plans, and operational strategy.
