Job summary

Meritas Advisory Group, LLC is expanding into Denver with the goal of establishing a new electrical practice. We seek a Senior Electrical Engineer to plant the flag, hire the initial team, and drive office growth in the Denver area.

The role involves leading design for industrial and process-driven facilities, coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams, and delivering projects from inception to startup in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical) with Colorado registration or ability to obtain it.
• Experience leading electrical design for industrial, semiconductor, life sciences, or process-driven facilities.
• Desire to learn and grow into the new role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the local point of contact for clients in the region.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers and designers as the office grows.
• Work with other offices to staff and deliver projects.
• Design power distribution for industrial and critical facilities (low- and medium-voltage, motor controls, lighting, standby generation, fire alarm).
• Perform and review short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Lead electrical design from basis of design through construction documents, construction administration, and startup.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and controls engineers on integrated facility designs.
• Review and seal drawings and calculations as Engineer of Record.
