Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. represents a growing engineering firm seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to launch its Denver office.

You will serve as the local point of contact for regional clients and lead the build-out of the electrical practice. You will design power distribution for industrial facilities, perform short circuit and arc flash studies, and coordinate with process, mechanical, and controls engineers through construction and startup.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical) with Colorado registration or ability to obtain it.
• Experience leading electrical design for industrial, semiconductor, life sciences, or other process-driven facilities.
• Desire to learn and grow into the new role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the firm's local point of contact for clients in the region
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers and designers as the office grows
• Work with the firm's other offices to staff and deliver projects
• Design power distribution for industrial and critical facilities, including low- and medium-voltage distribution, motor controls, lighting and lighting control, standby generation, and fire alarm
• Perform and review short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies
• Lead electrical design from basis of design through construction documents, construction administration, and startup
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and controls engineers on integrated facility designs
• Review and seal drawings and calculations as Engineer of Record
