Job summary

Half Moon Empanadas is hiring an Airport Team Lead to deliver outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced airport environment. You will lead a team, manage orders, and ensure accurate payments and service quality.

Role requires taking ownership of shifts, maintaining standards for food and beverage service, and collaborating with teammates to meet guest needs while upholding TSA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Cashier experience in food and beverage desirable.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English to communicate with guests.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Greet customers, take orders, provide menu information, and suggestively sell products.
• Operate the cash register and process payments, input orders into POS.
• Prepare and present drinks; assist with food prep and kitchen tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and rotate stock (FIFO).
• Follow TSA and airport security protocols and SOPs.
• Respond to guest concerns with tact and professionalism, seeking solutions.
• Attend team meetings and participate in daily inventory tasks.

Job Title: Airport Team Lead

Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers in a friendly and approachablemanner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customerservice, ensuring total guest satisfaction. Greet customers, take orders, provide menu information, and suggestivelysell products.
• Operate the cash register, processpayments (cash, creditcard), and provideaccurate change. Accuratelyand efficiently input orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Issue receipts for each transaction.
• Assist with verifying the accuracyof transactionsand operating related equipment.
• Prepare and present drinks according to standardrecipes and portion control guidelines. Assist with food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed, including baking.
• Maintain accountability forall food and beverageitems served. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage andwork areas.
• Set up andmaintain the location, including stocking and rotating products (FIFO).
• Receive and stock inventory, and maintain knowledge of product availability.
• Ensureproper food handling, including wrapping, labeling, dating, storing, andchecking temperatures.
• Follow all opening, closing, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform daily inventory tasks as required.
• Maintain a cleanandorganized workstation and equipment.
• Store and secure beverages, food, and equipment.
• Deposit cash drops into the safe.
• Follow and adhere to all TSA and airport securityprotocols
• Actively participate in team member meetings.
• Respond to guest concernswith tact and professionalism, seeking solutions.

Prior Experience:

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a team leader member
• Cashier experience in a food and beverage environment is highlydesirable.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service.
• Ability to read, speak andunderstand the English language to communicate with guests and take orders.

Work Environment & Requirements:

This role requiresprolonged standing while helping guests, reaching for product, and graspingbeverage & empanadas. You mustbe able to carry 30 lbs. This role is in an airport facility and issubject to federal laws and regulations including background screeningsrequired by the airport authority.
