Job summary

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a Patient Revenue Cycle Coordinator to join the Patient Revenue Cycle Services team. This 20-hour per week hybrid, temporary position supports back-end Revenue Cycle activities including charge review, billing, follow-up, and payer interactions.

Experience in dental/medical front desk, operations, scheduling or billing is required; EHR knowledge is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 2 years relevant experience in dental/medical front desk, operations, scheduling or billing.
• 4-6 years relevant experience plus knowledge of EHR software; strong organizational and communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to correspond with patients.

Responsibilities

• Back-end Revenue Cycle activities: charge review, billing, follow-up, denial management, claims, vendor, cash reconciliation, banking interactions, 835 processing, bad debt, payer interactions, grievance management, and customer service.
• May back up staff responsible for front-end Revenue Cycle activities.
