Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a capable dental front office professional to join our multi-specialty practice. You will educate patients, schedule treatments across pediatrics, endodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery, and maintain clear communication with referring offices.

Must have 1–3 years of front office experience, be bilingual in Spanish, and be familiar with PPOs and Medi-Cal. Knowledge of Open Dental or Dentrix is a plus. Competitive pay and growth opportunities offered.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on treatment type and extent.
• Convert planned treatment to scheduled treatment across multiple specialties.
• Communicate with referring offices via letters and emails with treatment details.
• Submit pre-authorizations where needed.
• Explain dental procedures and treatment plans to patients clearly.
• Process payments (cash, credit, Care Credit) and ensure timely collection.
• Audit chart notes and create claims.
• Run end-of-day reports and assist with opening/closing the office.
• Assist with daily housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

• QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1-3 years of previous dental front office experience is required.
• Must have knowledge of all dental insurances including PPOs, Medi & Chip
• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
• Bilingual (Spanish) is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Educate patients on the type and extent of treatment needed.
• Be successful in converting planned treatment to scheduled treatment in multi-specialty. (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics)
• Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails details of treatment planned and updates on patient treatment.
• Ability to call in / Fax COP (change of provider)
• Send Pre-Authorizations
• Must utilize excellent communication skills with an ability to explain, present, and educate dental procedures and treatment plans to patients plainly. (Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, Implants)
• Process payments; Cash, Credit & Care Credit Ensure patient payments are collected at time of service.
• Ability to audit chart notes and create claims
• Ability to run end of day reports
• Assist with open and close of the office
• Daily housekeeping (will be shared with other staff)
• Performs all other duties as assigned
