Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a motivated dental front office specialist to join our multi-specialty team. You will educate patients, schedule treatments across pedodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics, and maintain clear communication with referring offices.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years front office experience, know PPOs (Medi & Chip), and are fluent in Spanish. Proficiency with Open Dental or Dentrix is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of previous dental front office experience is required.
• Must have knowledge of all dental insurances including PPOs, Medi & Chip
• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
• Bilingual (Spanish) is required.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on the type and extent of treatment needed.
• Convert planned treatment to scheduled treatment in a multi-specialty setting (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics).
• Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails detailing treatment plans.
• Call in / Fax COP (change of provider) as needed.
• Send Pre-Authorizations.

• QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Educate patients on the type and extent of treatment needed.
• Be successful in converting planned treatment to scheduled treatment in multi-specialty. (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics)
• Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails details of treatment planned and updates on patient treatment.
• Ability to call in / Fax COP (change of provider)
• Send Pre-Authorizations
• Must utilize excellent communication skills with an ability to explain, present, and educate dental procedures and treatment plans to patients plainly. (Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, Implants)
• Process payments; Cash, Credit & Care Credit Ensure patient payments are collected at time of service.
• Ability to audit chart notes and create claims
• Ability to run end of day reports
• Assist with open and close of the office
• Daily housekeeping (will be shared with other staff)
• Performs all other duties as assigned
