Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a personable Front Desk Coordinator to support a fast-growing, multi-specialty dental group. You will greet patients, verify insurance eligibility, schedule appointments and collect payments at the time of service.

Experience in a dental office is preferred. Open Dental or Dentrix experience is helpful, and bilingual Spanish is required. The role may require travel up to 25% and the ability to use a personal vehicle for site visits.

Qualifications

• Previous dental experience is preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is required.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Active driver’s license may be required for travel to different sites.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check them in for appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect relevant information.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage calendar efficiently.
• Input data to create insurance claims and process pre-authorizations.
• Collect payments and ensure accuracy at point of service.
• Maintain patient health history records and assist team as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous dental experience is preferred
• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
• Bilingual (Spanish) is required
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• This position may require the employee to use his/her personal vehicle to travel to different work sites during the course of the work day, which means you would need an active, valid Driver’s License.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must bring that BIG personality to engage and entertain our patients
• Educate our patients and surrounding community through ongoing outreach efforts
• Collect the appropriate information from our patients to verify insurance eligibility
• Ensure patient payments are collected at time of service.
• Input the required data to create insurance claims
• Gather patient health history as required
• Schedule appointments with our patients daily
• Gather the appropriate data to obtain pre-authorizations for treatment
• Support your team
• Daily housekeeping (will be shared with other staff)
• Performs all other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
