Job summary

MyCHN Pearland Family Health Center is seeking a Dental Patient Service Specialist to warmly welcome patients, schedule and confirm appointments, and maintain accurate records in OpenEMR.

In this fast-paced role you will verify insurance, collect payments, provide Good Faith Estimates, answer calls, and collaborate with dental providers to ensure a smooth, patient-centered experience at our Pearland clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of dental front office experience.
• Knowledge of dental scheduling and insurance verification.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients throughout their dental visit
• Schedule, confirm and prepare patient appointments
• Maintain accurate patient records in OpenEMR
• Verify insurance coverage and collect patient payments
• Provide Good Faith Estimates and explain financial responsibilities
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients with inquiries
