Job summary

MyCHN Westwood is seeking a friendly Dental Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and maintain accurate records in OpenEMR. You will be the welcoming face at the front desk, handle payments, and support the front office to ensure a smooth patient experience.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of dental front office experience; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of dental front office experience.
• Knowledge of dental scheduling and insurance verification.
• Experience using EMR systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Professional, positive, and patient-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients throughout their dental visit.
• Schedule, confirm, and prepare patient appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records in OpenEMR.
• Verify insurance coverage and collect patient payments.
• Provide Good Faith Estimates and explain financial responsibilities.
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients with inquiries.
• Coordinate with dental providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Support the front office in achieving an outstanding patient experience.
