Job summary

Gentle Dental Indio in Indio, CA is seeking a Dental Office Manager to oversee daily operations, supervise the office team, manage schedules, invoicing, payroll prep, and insurance claims. This full-time role supports providers and patients to maintain efficient, compliant care.

You will ensure a positive patient experience, monitor budgets, address concerns, train staff, and collaborate with clinicians to keep the office flow smooth and productive.

Qualifications

• Dental/healthcare management experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literate; Denticon experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the office team, train non-clinical staff, and approve timesheets.
• Evaluate production and implement efficiency improvements in office operations.
• Handle bookkeeping, invoicing, cash control, payroll prep, and admin duties.
• Organize day-to-day operations, schedule staff, and lead daily huddles.
• Collect patient payments per Cash Handling Policy and manage balances.
• Review reports and help meet or exceed the monthly budget.
• Backup front office tasks: scheduling, calls, patient questions, insurance claims.
• Address patient complaints promptly and compassionately; escalate as needed.
• Know insurance plans, limitations, and exclusions.
• Recruit, retain, and work with HR on staff issues.
• Maintain software systems for managerial data reporting.
• Ensure compliance with state dental laws and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties to support the office/company.
