Job summary

Community Health Center seeks a Practice Manager to lead the daily operations of the main clinic in central Vermont. You will oversee staff, scheduling, and policy enforcement to ensure efficient, high‑quality care.

The role requires at least five years of operational management, knowledge of fiscal controls and regulatory requirements, and a commitment to safety, accreditation, and patient service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Five years of operational management experience.
• Knowledge of fiscal management practices.
• Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement requirements.

Responsibilities

• Selects, hires, trains, coach, and counsel personnel as required to ensure efficient and effective office work.
• Manages and coordinates all staff/provider schedules.
• Supports and upholds established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control, and codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
• Ensures that office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
• Coordinates day to day operations at the sites.
• Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness and modifying activities, as necessary. Ensures that the office is staffed appropriately.
