Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region in Rutland, VT, is seeking a Practice Manager to lead the daily operations of the main clinic. You will supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and ensure high-quality, cost-effective care in a busy primary care setting.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, at least five years of operational management experience, and knowledge of fiscal and HR practices. We offer strong benefits and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; preferred in Health or Business Administration.
• Five years of operational management experience.
• Knowledge of fiscal management practices and human resource management techniques.
• Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement requirements.

Responsibilities

• Selects, hires, trains, coach, and counsel personnel as required to ensure efficient and effective office work.
• Manages and coordinates all staff/provider schedules.
• Supports and upholds established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control, and codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
• Ensures that office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
• Coordinates day to day operations at the sites.
• Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness and modifying activities, as necessary. Ensures that the office is staffed appropriately.
