Job summary

United Health Centers in California seeks a Dental Supervisor to oversee all UHC dental support staff, ensuring efficient operations across sites and high patient satisfaction. This exempt role reports to the Health Center Manager.

Responsibilities include leading dental operations, managing provider schedules, coaching staff, assisting with recruitment, ensuring DA/RDA coverage, coordinating audits, and maintaining HIPAA privacy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid RDA California License or DA Certificate.
• Lifesaving Certification and Driver's License.
• 2 years of supervisory/management experience in a dental setting preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and dental billing.
• Knowledge of dental insurances and billing preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for UHC dental operations at assigned health centers.
• Proactively manage provider appointment schedules and templates.
• Coach, train, counsel and staff development.
• Assist with recruitment and hiring for dental staff.
• Ensure DA/RDA functions and provide coverage as necessary.
• Coordinate dental staffing and ensure adequate coverage for quality care.
• Coordinate site audits/visits and ensure timely data entry.
• Attend meetings and support flexible hours as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; project a professional demeanor.
