Job summary

The Smilist Whitestone dental office is seeking an experienced assistant practice manager to lead a fast-paced team, optimize daily operations, and uphold exceptional patient care.

You will oversee scheduling, front desk workflows, billing support, and collaboration with the Practice Manager to improve performance metrics while ensuring OSHA and HIPAA compliance and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in a dental administrative role; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager in day-to-day operations of the dental office.
• Serve as a point of contact for team members and assist with scheduling and daily workflow.
• Help maintain a positive office culture focused on patient satisfaction and team engagement.
• Monitor patient flow, manage front desk operations, and ensure policy adherence.
• Assist with billing, insurance verification, and collections processes.
• Partner with the Practice Manager to analyze performance metrics and support operational goals.
• Address patient concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly, ensuring compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulations.
