Job summary

PDS Health in Houston, TX is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to enter the OM Development Program and prepare to independently operate a dental office within 4–6 months. You will learn through a structured curriculum, on-the-job practicals and development meetings under direct supervision.

Responsibilities include modeling company culture, hiring and training staff, resolving issues, driving revenue growth, and managing expenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five or more years of related work experience in operational management
• Operations Manager Trainee must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Travel to multiple offices per day with reliable transportation
• Alternate transportation acceptable if license/insurance unavailable
• Travel may be planned or unplanned and is subject to change without notice
• Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Five+ years of experience leading a team, mentoring and coaching subordinates

Responsibilities

• Modeling company culture, values, standards and best operational practices; learning to create an environment that promotes PDS culture daily
• Assessment, hiring and retention of right-fit team members through training, supervision and coaching
• Resolve staff and patient issues by analyzing facts to develop timely solutions
• Execute the PDS Operational Model to meet office imperatives with the Owner Dentist
• Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth
• Manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budgets
• Show proficiency in cash management and accounting protocols
• Lead team development towards the Perfect Patient Experience
• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor per company policies
• Gain proficiency with People-related functions and tools
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory bodies
• Report weekly to Regional Manager on accomplishments and goals
• Develop staff and office protocols for efficient operations during manager absences
• Other duties as assigned to improve team development outcomes
