Job summary

PDS Health is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to gain broad operational knowledge and independently run a dental office within 4–6 months after completing the OM Development Program. You will be mentored by a Regional Manager and Owner Dentist while traveling to multiple offices daily to learn staffing, finance, and operations.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, and financial performance, with a pathway to salaried management after program completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of related work experience in operational management.
• Operations Manager Trainee must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Willingness to travel to multiple offices daily.

Responsibilities

• Model company culture and values; promote PDS culture daily.
• Hire, train, supervise, counsel and coach staff for right fit.
• Resolve staff and patient issues with timely, logical solutions.
• Execute the PDS Operational Model with owner dentist partnership.
• Drive year over year revenue and profit growth.
• Manage expenses to meet monthly goals and budget.
• Ensure cash management and accounting compliance.
• Lead team development and deliver excellent patient experience.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Communicate with supervisors and maintain trust-based relationships.
• Maintain professional appearance as per policy.
• Understand People functions and compensation guidance.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory bodies.
• Report weekly to Regional Manager on progress.
• Learn to manage Front and Back Office teams by program end.
• Develop office success plan and protocols for manager absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
