Job summary

Wheat Family Dental is seeking a Business Assistant to join our team under the Heartland Dental network. You will support front office operations, greet patients, and help implement Heartland Dental systems to improve office performance and patient care.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment with strong emphasis on communication, HIPAA training, and team collaboration to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Access to minimum PHI requirements; HIPAA training and data safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties including phones, mail, and emails.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims; verify benefits.
• Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivable.
• Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems.
