Job summary

East Broad Family Dentistry, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Office Assistant with at least 1 year of dental experience. You’ll join a 5-person team and support front office operations, insurance processing, and patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, managing phones and emails, using Dentrix for scheduling, posting payments, and assisting with treatment plan discussions. Competitive benefits and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties: phones, mail, and emails; coordinate with insurance.
• Schedule appointments using Dentrix for multiple providers; confirm bookings.
• File insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims and coverage.
• Process patient payments and accounts receivable; discuss treatment plan fees.
