Job summary

Dental Care of Fate Village in Fate, TX is seeking a Business Assistant to join our team. You’ll support the front office, verify insurance, submit claims, and assist with presenting treatment options while maintaining a patient-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable using Dentrix, handling PHI with care, and contributing to a positive, collaborative team. TB testing is required for new hires, and ongoing HIPAA training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• HIPAA training and PHI safeguards knowledge.
• Willingness to learn Heartland Dental systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties including calls, mail, and correspondence with patients and insurers.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records management.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• File insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims and benefits verification.
• Post insurance and patient payments and manage accounts receivable.
• Explain treatment plan fees and payment options to patients.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
