Heartland Dental is seeking a Business Assistant for Dental Care of Cookeville to support front office operations, patient communications, and insurance coordination.

The role emphasizes using Dentrix for scheduling and records, managing claims, and collaborating with the dental team to optimize office performance. A fast-paced, customer-focused environment is preferred, with HIPAA training expected.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection responsibilities will be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties: phones, mail/email, and patient/insurance communication.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records management.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims; verify benefits.
• Post insurance and patient payments; process accounts receivable.
• Discuss treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential.
