Job summary

Smile Today Dentistry is looking for a Business Assistant to join our Palm Bay office team. You’ll handle front office duties, greet patients, manage communications, and use Dentrix for scheduling and records.

The role supports multiple providers and requires careful handling of insurance claims and payments. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on patient-first care, HIPAA compliance, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Access to minimum PHI necessary for job duties; regular HIPAA training will be required and PHI protection is essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties: answer phones, respond to emails, and communicate with patients and insurance companies.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records; schedule/confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• File insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims and coverage verifications.
• Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivable.
• Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential.
