Dental Care of Round Lake Beach is seeking an experienced Business Assistant to join our front office team. This role supports the doctor and clinical staff with scheduling, insurance verification, payments, and patient check-in, delivering a warm, professional front-office experience.

Working at Heartland Dental, you’ll use Dentrix for scheduling, manage a fast-paced calendar, answer phones, and maintain accurate records while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of dental office experience (required). Business Assistant experience at another dental office is ideal.
• Experience with Dentrix (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide a warm, welcoming front-office experience.
• Schedule appointments and manage the daily calendar.
• Check patients in and out and keep their records accurate.
• Verify insurance, explain treatment costs and collect payments.
• Answer phones and keep the front office running smoothly.
• Work closely with the doctor and clinical team.
• Greet and welcome patients as they enter the office to create a great first impression of our team.
• Manage front office duties, including answering phones, checking office mail and email, communicating with patients and insurance companies.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and records.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers in the office.
• File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims, verification of benefits and explanation of coverage.
• Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivables.
• Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
• Partner with the providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential.
