Job summary

May River Crossing Dental, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Business Assistant to support front office operations and patient care. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on learning, teamwork, and patient-first service.

The role emphasizes patient interactions, scheduling, insurance coordination, and adherence to privacy standards while supporting a growing practice within the Heartland Dental family.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a great first impression.
• Manage front office duties: phones, mail, emails, and communications with patients and insurers.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• File insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims and coverage.
• Post payments and process accounts receivable; review treatment plan fees.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential.
