Job summary

The Clinic Coordinator directly supports dental students as they progress through their clinical requirements. This role serves as the communication link between student providers, patients, supervising faculty and the FQHC Clinical Program Liaison, providing administrative and procedural support throughout the clinic year.

Based in Yakima, WA, the position reports to the SDM Clinic Director and coordinates day-to-day operations, patient scheduling, chart audits, EHR documentation, and data

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Preferred: Dental Assisting certificate or Dental Hygiene degree.
• Required: 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred: Dental office management, patient care coordination, EHR experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management of the dental clinic, coordinating day-to-day operations.
• Support activities in the simulation lab at the clinic.
• Assist students with chart audits of their patient portfolio.
• Participate in meetings and quality improvement programs.
• Review patient records and assist with CDT coding accuracy.
• Maintain appointments and active patient portfolios.
• Analyze data for reporting student progress using EHR and Acuity Insights.
