Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Dental Supervisor to lead dental assistants and reception staff, coordinate patient flow, and support dental providers in delivering quality care.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing scheduling, chairside support, sterilization, OSHA compliance, and helping with quality improvement, coding, and insurance verification. This role ensures efficient operations and a positive patient experience at our WA clinics.

Qualifications

• Washington State DOH Dental Assistant Registration is required.
• High school diploma or GED with dental assisting/office management training.
• 3+ years dental office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dental assistants and reception staff; support training and performance management
• Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, triage, and daily clinic operations
• Provide chairside support and ensure proper sterilization and OSHA compliance
• Oversee quality improvement activities, reporting, and documentation
• Assist with dental insurance verification, coding, and cost estimates
• Maintain clinic supplies, equipment maintenance, and compliance records
• Support community outreach and dental program growth
• Serve as working supervisor when staffing shortages occur
