Primary Health Care, Inc (PHC) is seeking a Dentist to join the Patient Care Team on a PRN basis in Des Moines, IA. The role involves diagnosing and treating patients, planning and delivering oral health care, and educating patients while coordinating with physicians and staff.

The position requires DDS/DMD, licensure in Iowa, DEA/CSA registrations, BLS, and flexible coverage for after-hours calls. Hospital-based experience preferred.

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD degree from an approved dental school.
• Experience with third-party payers and associated regulations.
• Eligible for hospital privileges.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and order necessary procedures for diagnosis of oral diseases.
• Plan and sequence oral/dental treatment based on diagnosis and needs.
• Deliver comprehensive and emergency oral care in clinics and OR.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, plan and postop care.
• Adhere to policies to minimize radiation exposure.
• Advise medical staff on oral-related conditions via consultations.
• Provide after-hours call coverage and follow-up care.
• Assist Dental Director in developing protocols and supervising students.
• Support community outreach and participate in meetings and PI activities.
