Job summary

Heartland Dental’s ALFA Dentistry location seeks a dedicated Dental Assistant to support dentists with four‑handed chairside care, operate iTero 3D scanning, take x‑rays, and maintain a sterile treatment room.

You’ll review health histories, manage scheduling with Dentrix, and help ensure HIPAA compliance while educating patients. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, six paid holidays, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• If required under state act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness.
• 1+ years in a dental setting (preferred).
• Dentrix or other dental software experience.
• Dental assisting school certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply inventory and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems.
