Job summary

Inner Harbor Dental Associates is seeking a Dental Assistant to join their team. The role involves assisting dentists, taking x-rays, maintaining patient comfort, and ensuring safety with OSHA/CDC guidelines.

Qualified candidates will have Pennsylvania radiography qualifications or equivalent, strong communication skills, and experience with Dentrix. Training and growth opportunities are highlighted in a collaborative Heartland Dental network.

Qualifications

• Minimum knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• HIPAA training and PHI protection required
• DANB RHS certification or equivalent for radiography as applicable

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC)
• Manage supply inventory and place orders as needed
• Collaborate with team to implement Heartland Dental systems
