Job summary

Wilderness Dental Care is seeking a Dental Assistant to join the Heartland Dental family. You will provide chairside support, take x-rays, manage patient records, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment across a busy dental office.

The role emphasizes patient education, teamwork, and adherence to OSHA/CDC guidelines while using Dentrix for scheduling and records. Prior dental experience is preferred, with certification as required by state law.

Qualifications

• Must have dental assisting certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; patient-focused.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric dental office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and ensure comfort throughout treatment.
• Review health histories to support quality care.
• Take and process x‑rays and digital images as needed.
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Schedule and manage patient records using Dentrix.
• Prepare treatment rooms following OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Monitor supplies and place orders to maintain inventory.
• Collaborate with team to implement Heartland Dental systems.
