Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant for Family Dental Care of Olathe to join a patient‑centered team. You will greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide chairside assistance using Dentrix.

The role emphasizes safety, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork to improve office workflow. Prior dental experience and Dentrix familiarity are preferred, with on‑the‑job training and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate about treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D, digital photos).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
