Job summary

Secret City Dental Care in Oak Ridge, TN, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join Heartland Dental's family. You will greet patients, review health histories, educate patients, and provide comfort throughout treatment.

You’ll deliver chairside assistance, perform x-rays and digital imaging, and support the providers while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA requirements. Dentrix usage is part of daily workflow.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state act.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and educate throughout treatment.
Review patient health history to provide quality care.
Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
Provide chairside assistance to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures.
Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols and OSHA/CDC compliance.
Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed.
Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize workflow.
