Job summary

Sandalwood Dental Care, a Heartland Dental office, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You’ll greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide chairside support using Dentrix in a collaborative clinic.

The role emphasizes patient education, safety protocols, and efficient workflow, with opportunities for growth and a stable, supportive workplace within Heartland Dental’s nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• If required under state act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Regular HIPAA training and PHI data safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them through treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
