Job summary

Heartland Dental's Dental Care of Riverbend seeks a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. You will greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide four-handed chairside support to doctors. Proficiency with Dentrix for scheduling and records is a plus.

This role emphasizes accurate data handling, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork to improve patient experience and office efficiency. We offer ongoing education and a stable, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and provide patient education.
• Review patient health history to inform quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to optimize Heartland Dental systems and office workflow.
