Job summary

Gateway Smiles Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You will greet patients, review health histories, and assist dentists with a wide range of procedures while maintaining safety protocols and patient comfort.

You will handle x-rays and digital imaging, use Dentrix for scheduling and records, and collaborate with providers to ensure smooth office workflow in a Heartland Dental supported office environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to inform quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) during procedures following the state dental practice act.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
