Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant at Dental Care of Westover Hills to greet patients, review health history, take X-rays, and provide chairside support to the dentists. You will use Dentrix for scheduling and records, and keep the treatment rooms prepared in line with OSHA and CDC guidelines.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of dental procedures, strong communication and organizational skills, plus a certification and/or X-ray certification.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or X-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection duties.
• TB pre-employment testing as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients at the start of treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process X-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms following OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
