Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our Ledgerock team. You’ll support clinicians with four-handed dentistry, manage patient flow, and uphold safety standards while delivering high-quality care.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of dental procedures, Dentrix software experience, and excellent communication skills, with HIPAA training and any required certifications. Join a trusted network with 20+ years of industry leadership.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• Depending on state requirements, dental assistant and/or x-ray certification may be required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• PHI handling and HIPAA training will be required as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, while maintaining comfort and providing education.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists in a variety of procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols per OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
