The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Office of Clinical Operations oversees patient care, quality assurance, infection control, regulatory compliance, and fiscal stability, aiming to provide top-quality education and dental treatment.
A SIGN-ON BONUS OF $2,000 IS AVAILABLE, PAID IN TWO INSTALLMENTS: $1,000 within 30 days of hire and $1,000 after 12 months.
The Dental Assistant supports clinical programs, participates in training and supervision, and performs duties such as assisting faculty and learners, sterilization, radiographs, inventory management, and administrative tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited dental assisting program, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience as a chairside dental assistant and in dental education are preferred.
Required licenses or certifications as applicable.
Must be able to stand or sit for long periods.
Includes exposure to bloodborne pathogens, hazardous materials, occasional overtime, and patient care duties.
Eligibility for sign-on bonus is contingent upon meeting state policy requirements, including a 12-month employment gap in North Carolina state government employment. The bonus is prorated for part-time employees working more than 20 hours but less than 40 hours per week. All recipients must sign the Pay Back Agreement.
