Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant in Lake Butler, Florida. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the Dentist in a correctional setting, performing tasks such as chairside assistance, sterilization of instruments, and operating radiographic equipment.

The ideal candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and fulfill specific certification and training requirements. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or 12 months experience required.
• Certified Dental Assistant license or Expanded Dental Assistant Certificate required.
• Florida Radiograph Certificate or ability to obtain one required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry.

Responsibilities

The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision, assisting the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Additional responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, preparing and maintaining the dental operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and additional administrative tasks as needed.

Schedule

6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or 12 months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
• Certified Dental Assistant license and/or Expanded Dental Assistant Certificate or ability to obtain one required within first 6 months of employment
• Florida Radiograph Certificate, or ability to obtain one required within the first 6 months of employment
• Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation preferred, or willing to obtain one upon hire
• Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or willing to obtain one upon hire
• Ability to pass a security clearance, to include drug screen and complete criminal background check
