Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant for the South Florida Reception Center in Doral, FL. The role supports dentists and dental hygienists in a correctional setting, ensuring efficient chairside care.

Responsibilities include instrument sterilization, operatory maintenance, radiographic imaging, and administrative tasks. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a dental assisting credential or 6 months of experience, and CPR/PPD and background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience required.
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required.
• Expanded duty dental assistant certification preferred; if not possessed, must be obtained in first year of employment.
• Certification and/or experience performing dental x-rays preferred.
• Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for TB screening required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Ability to obtain security clearance, including drug screen and background check.

• Work Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.

We are currently seeking a fulltime Dental Assistant to join our team at South Florida Receptin Center - Main Unit located in Doral, Florida.

The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.

Essential Duties

• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
• Operating radiographic equipment
• Administrative tasks as needed
• Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment
• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
