Centurion Health in Doral, Florida, is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at the South Florida Reception Center. The role reports to the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in a correctional setting, performing chairside assistance and operatory preparation.

You will sterilize instruments, operate radiographic equipment, and handle necessary administrative tasks while maintaining compliance and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a technical dental assisting program or 6 months of experience required.
• Dental assistant license or ability to obtain one.
• Expanded duty certification preferred; if not held, obtain within the first year.
• CPR certification is required.
• PPD documentation for TB screening is required.
• Must obtain security clearance including background check.

We are currently seeking a fulltime Dental Assistant to join our team at South Florida Receptin Center - Main Unit located in Doral, Florida.

The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.

Essential Duties:

• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
• Operating radiographic equipment
• Administrative tasks as needed
• Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment
• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
