Job summary

Centurion Health is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant for the Central Florida Reception Center in Orlando, FL. The position supports daily dental operations, instrument sterilization, operatory setup, radiography, and general administrative duties.

Qualified candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, a dental assisting program or six months of experience, and a dental assistant license or ability to obtain one. BLS and PPD TB screening are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school program in dental assisting or 6 months' experience required.
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required.
• Expanded duty dental assistant certification preferred; if not held, obtain within first year.
• Certification and/or experience performing dental X-rays preferred.
• Must show PPD documentation for TB screening.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers required.
• Ability to obtain security clearance (drug screen and background check).

Centurion is proud to be the provider of dental services to the Florida Department of Corrections.

We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at CFRC - Central Florida Reception Center located in Orlando, Florida.

Essential Duties:

• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
• Operating radiographic equipment
• Administrative tasks as needed

Hours: 6am to 3p Monday-Thursday and 6am to 12:30pm on Friday

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment
• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
