Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join the Taylor Correctional Institution team in Perry, FL. The role includes preparing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining the operatory, and operating radiographic equipment during day shifts.

Required: high school diploma or GED, completion of a dental assisting program or 12 months’ experience, CPR certification, Florida radiograph certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months, and ability to obtain security clearance.

We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Taylor Correctional Institution located in Perry, Florida.

Essential Duties:

• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
• Operating radiographic equipment
• Administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or 12 months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
• Certified Dental Assistant license and/or Expanded Dental Assistant Certificate or ability to obtain one required within first 6 months of employment
• Florida Radiograph Certificate, or ability to obtain one required within the first 6 months of employment
• Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation preferred, or willing to obtain one upon hire
• Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or willing to obtain one upon hire
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift: Days, 7AM-3:30PM; Monday-Friday
