Centurion Health, Santa Rosa Correctional Institution in Milton, FL, is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support in-chair dentistry under the Dentist and Dental Hygienist in a correctional setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a dental assisting program or 6 months experience, a dental assistant license or ability to obtain one, and CPR/PPD and drug screening clearances. Shift is 6AM-4:30PM, Monday-Thursday, with comprehensive benefits.

We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution located in Milton, Florida.

The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.

Essential Duties:

• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
• Operating radiographic equipment
• Administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment
• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift: 6AM-4:30PM; Monday-Thursday schedule
