Job summary

Imagen Dental Partners in New York is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a privately owned practice focused on patient-first care. You will welcome patients, assist the doctor, and help maintain a smooth back-office environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of chairside experience, knowledge of dental terminology, and relevant certifications. We offer competitive pay starting at $20-25 per hour, PTO, holidays, 401K match, and robust medical and wellness benefits for you and your family.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working as a Dental Assistant.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and general chairside experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• State-required certifications such as Radiology Certification, CPR, RDA or RDAEF.
• Experience with Dental Software like Denticon is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room.
• Assist the doctor in providing care to the patient.
• Be knowledgeable of existing and emerging technologies and clinical initiatives that impact the back-office experience.
• Actively monitor lab materials and supplies.
• Develop a relationship with the patient.
• Ability to perform digital radiographs.

General Overview

Schedule

• Monday- 7:45 am - 5:00 pm


• Tuesday- 7:45 am - 5:00 pm


• Wednesday- 7:45 am - 5:00 pm


• Thursday - 6:45am - 3:00 pm


• Friday - 8:00 am- 1:00 pm

Responsibilities

As part of our team you will be responsible for the following (not limited to):

• Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room.


• Assist the doctor in providing care to the patient.


• Be knowledgeable of existing and emerging technologies and clinical initiatives that impact the back-office experience.


• Actively monitor lab materials and supplies.


• Develop a relationship with the patient.


• Ability to perform digital xrays


• Follow all OSHA/HIPAA guidelines.


• Clean and sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms as needed.


• Take, expose, and mount high quality dental radiographs.


• Contribute to the team in achieving business objectives to accomplish goals.


• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working as a Dental Assistant required


• Knowledge of dental terminology and general chairside experience


• High school diploma or GED.


• Other certifications as required by the state, as an example: Radiology Certification, CPR, Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF), etc.


• Experience with Dental Softwares as Denticon, is preferred.
